HAMPTON COURT FLOWER SHOW 2014 - Award winners

The Hampton Court Palace Flower Show is the largest flower show in the world. The Show is held in early July, and run by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) at Hampton Court Palace in southwest London. The show features show gardens, floral marquees, talks and demonstrations. Interested in garden design courses ?

Since April 2012, Alex has been running a two year Diploma course in Garden Design at Coolings Garden Centre in Knockholt, Kent.

The course is aimed at students wanting to start a career in garden design. During the two years the course covers a wide range of subjects such as planting design, landscaping material choices, technical drawing skills, construction, starting your own business, assignments using real life projects, garden design history and design theory.

In addition to this course, Alex also offers an eight week course on introduction to garden design and a series of one-off summer lectures on various garden design related subjects. In September 2018, Alex will also be teaching a three part course on the history of garden design from gardens of the ancient worlds, renaissance to romanticism and Arts & Crafts to 21st century design.
